  • Historical Museum House of the Convention

    A place where you learn about the origins of the country is in Rionegro, near Medellín. It is the Casa de la Convencion Historical Museum, so named because in 1863 the National Convention of the United States of Colombia was held there, which was attended by the 65 officials with the most important positions of the State at that time, including President Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera.

    El Peñol Stone or Guatapé Stone is a 220 m high rock that can be climbed by 649 steps to appreciate a panoramic view of the El Peñol reservoir. In the surroundings visitors find several restaurants and lodging places. The stone is located in the path La Piedra, 2 km before reaching Guatapé.
